Who is TATOC
TATOC, the Harry Taylor and Mark Caldicott the self-proclaimed consumer association is now being dumped by its long-time conference speakers.
The advice TATOC has given (in the past) has been rejected by many 1,000’s consumers. Normally a consumer who seeks advice, calls many companies and in doing so, they explain, seek and try to obtain good counsel. When that counsel is received they generally make up their own mind as to the advice given. In the case of TATOC they have advised that consumer go back to the resort who they are in dispute with and have produced an alleged “cold calling” list (in the past) explaining that consumers should not deal with cold callers. TATOC has placed many companies on their list who have never cold called and are purposefully diverting consumers away from the legal profession who do act in the best interest of consumers and the clients they represent.
They do this as they are financed by the timeshare industry and that same industry sponsors the claimed Consumers Helplines run by Mark Caldicott.
It is known that each year TATOC also report to the industry and invites the industry to its conference. In many other past years they have done the same, however, this year is very different, as the invitations and offers to speak are being rejected by many in the Timeshare industry.
This year’s TATOC conference is scheduled in 3 days’ time, Robin Miles generally officiates over the event, however this year he has declined to do so. The ever-present Phil Watson from Worldwide Timeshare Hyper Market has declined to join TATOC on its platform and the Resort Development Organisations CEO has also pulled out. Coupled with the cancellation of the Stuart Lamont and Patrick Duffy, it appears that the only speakers of late to assist TATOC (in delivering the TATOC message) is, Silverpoint and Crown Resorts and another.
Many will recall that both Harry Taylor and Mark Caldicott were past employees of Diamond Resorts and the TATOC board is predominantly controlled by Diamond resorts who now face a wave of claims for mis-selling of timeshares in the USA.
TATOC equally face hostile legal problems in the form of deformation and other claims. With the monumental dissent shown against them by a legal professional, an assault on their past deeds is in process and scalps appear to be required.
TATOC has boasted it is independent when such was never true in part or at all. TATOC and its elevation were fuelled by Industry money and many consumers have not been given clear independent advice.
The TATOC train is finally reaching its red light, will be stopped as it has failed to live up, to its claimed calling. TATOC in many ways have stiffed consumer rights which have aided its members to deter rightful compensations claims. TATOC also appear to have prevented consumers from getting the justice they deserve.
The TATOC saga will not stop at its shut down, they are very likely to go insolvent and it will our mission to finance an insolvency practitioner to investigate all the activities they have been involved in over the many years, whilst Mark Caldicott and Harry Taylor have been at the helm.
Our opinion is that TATOC elevation to its self-proclaimed stardom was to prevent consumers from getting independent advice, prevent consumer getting the justice they deserved and preventing consumers from obtaining the compensation which the law allows in Spain and the UK.
Alexander Sandy Grey was the only consumer champion and when he faced off the industry onslaught he truly saved many, a substantial amount of money. He also was aware of the antics of TATOC and suffered the barking smears levelled by TATOC. It’s only a shame that he is not around to see his predictions come true.
One would naturally expect that TATOC being a claimed consumer association, they would operate openly, above all scrutiny and would present themselves in a light which was tangible and transparent, Alas that has never been the case.
There have been countless allegations against TATOC and by a variety of consumer groups law firms and justice fighters.
One has to explain that because of the poor advice many people have been scammed, many people have worried and have had little choice but to pay thousands of pounds to obtain the justice they deserve all of which could have been avoided if they had played with a straight bat.
As a simple example, TATOC owns and operate a website called tatoc.co.uk. They claim it is their website, however, it is not registered to the limited company but operated by an unincorporated firm.
Harry Taylor owns the unincorporated TATOC which has a registered number 3626710. Many will note the that TATOC CONSUMER HELPLINE LTD trades under Company number 08393380 and TATOC (Timeshare Association Timeshare Owners and Committees) Ltd Company No: 04337250
The website tatoc.co.uk is Registered to TATOC not TATOC Limited and the Registrant address is Woodville House, Woodville Street St Helens, Merseyside WA10 1ET United Kingdom
Having looked at a google imagery of the address you will see that the address is a preschool nursery called “Little Einstein’s”, which is owned by the Wilson family.

We have contacted the nursery and spoken to Ian Wilson the owner, who has explained he has never heard of TATOC, they are not present at the address and he has no knowledge of TATOC existence and does not know Mark Caldicott or Harry Taylor.
